Tom Oliver (born, Hampshire) is an English born Australian actor who plays Lou Carpenter

. Tom originally played Lou for a few episodes in 1988 before returning full time in 1992.
Until 2016, 78 year old Tom played Lou for a few months on and a few months off. He left for good in late 2016 but the door has been left open for another return.
