Menik Gooneratne appearing as Priya Kapoor
Menik Gooneratne is a British born Australian actress of Indian descent who has also worked variously as a director and producer and writer. In Neighbours she played Shanti Pandya in 2000 and Erinsborough High School teacher Priya Kapoor. As part of the Kapoor family, Menik is one of the first Indian actresse's to appear on the show, in recent year's Neighbours has diversified greatly to feature more culturally diverse characters, including people of Chinese and Korean origin
