Synopsis[]
At No 26 Ramsay Street, Emma Gordon is invited to stay. Mrs Mangel reads a "Dear Georgette" letter. Sally Wells calls round to ask if Jane Harris has seen Mike Young. Des Clarke says Mike is too smart to run away. Des says his dad Malcolm Clarke is going on a quiz show. Gail Robinson is getting annoyed at Gloria Lewis. Gail thinks she is using her to get at Rob Lewis. Paul Robinson tries to talk her round. They then have dinner. Jane and Sally are worried about Mike. Des calms them down. Emma Gordon plays games with Todd Landers, Katie Landers and Lucy Robinson. Gail tries to show Gloria up tactfully. Paul suggests Gail has tomorrow off to get to know Gloria. Gail has to still be polite in front of her. Mrs Mangel is annoyed at Jane coming home late at night. That morning, Mike is back. He did not go through with shooting through. In the garden of No 26, Lucy and Katie feel ignored by Todd and Emma. Sally Wells and Gloria Gardener officially meet. Mrs Mangel gossips about Mike. She then thinks Gloria is common. Gail says she has never agreed with Mrs Mangel about anything until now. Mrs Mangel thinks Jane should ditch Mike. Gloria asks Gail about a wedding dress. Gail is indifferent. Gloria senses Gail does not like her, and tells her if she tries to split her and Rob up, she will have a fight on her hands.
