Synopsis[]
The police take Mike Young away. Jane Harris calls Paul Robinson to say that Mike has been arrested. She explains she will be late in today but will be in as soon as she can. Paul understands. At the same time, Jane has received some flowers from a secret admirer. Tony Romeo is still hoping to seduce Jane Harris. He is the one who sent the flowers. Mike has been given bail. Tony is lusting over Jane Harris and he is frustrated, and snaps at Charlene Robinson when she says it will be someone else next month. Paul suggests Mike gets a lawyer. Jane tells Gail that she has told Tony that she will never be with him but he will not take no for an answer. Tony confronts Jane at work. Tony says she gives someone the come on as well as rejects them at the same time. He says she is a tease, a flirt. He throws a hissy fit and Gail asks him to leave. Tony says he should perhaps leave Erinsborough altogether. Madge plans for her eventual funeral and has a one way chat with baby Jamie Clarke. Mike Young rides into Ramsay Street. He is met by Ted Regan. Ted wants to hit Mike for upsetting his mate Dave Summers. He says that Dave was attacked by someone else, and is going to let Mike take the blame. Mike says he will hit Ted but Ted says he cannot as he is on bail, but Ted himself can hit Mike. Des Clarke defends Mike, and also lays into Ted. Des says that his son Jamie will grow up without a mother thanks to him. Ted gets into his car and drives off.
