Synopsis[]
At No 24 Ramsay Street, Henry Ramsay wants his mum Madge Ramsay to tell him what is bothering her. She says while in Brisbane she was seeing another man. She says after her and Henry's dad Fred Mitchell split up, she felt she was rushing into things with Harold Bishop. Madge says the man she has been seeing is Lou Carpenter, an old schoolmate. She says she came back to Erinsborough because she was rushing into things with Lou. Jim Robinson owes Harold $1.40. At Erinsborough Hospital, Des Clarke has fallen asleep at Daphne Clarke's bedside. Paul Robinson says there is a lead on the people who put Daphne in hospital. Henry and Scott Robinson plan to work separately to see who is best. At No 26 Ramsay Street, Katie Landers drops a cake. Todd Landers has work to do. Scott asks Todd for a hand in gardening and offers $5. Eileen Clarke calls in on Madge. Harold also calls round, wanting to talk. He gives her 1 month to decide whether to marry. Katie stings herself. Beverley Marshall is worried about Todd and Katie as they are out with Scott. Bev berates Scott for taking Todd gardening with him. Jim makes Scott apologise. Jim and Bev then argue about how to look after Todd and Katie. Scott says to Henry he cheated to win the bet by hiring Todd and Katie as help. Henry says he roped in Pete Baxter to give him a hand. Gail Robinson plans to drive again. Todd apologises to Bev. Gail spots a car that she is sure was the one that ran Daphne off the road. It has dents, and has the odd aerial with the coat hanger tied round it, and she recognises the number plate.
