Synopsis[]
Fred Mitchell sticks to what he said, that Charlene Mitchell cannot come and live with him in Coffs Harbour as Susan Cole does not want another woman around. He says she can still visit during the holidays. Charlene realises what her father is really like and he does not care for her. Fred leaves for Coffs Harbour alone. Charlene and Madge hug and call a truce. It is the diving competition. Shane Ramsay plans to do a dive himself, despite the back injuries he recieved last year. Tom Ramsay and Clive Gibbons try to talk Shane round, saying one wrong move and he could be paralysed. Before that, Clive and Tom say that Shane must be annoyed that everyone else can do a dive and he cannot. They are shocked to see Shane stood at the top of the diving board. Clive calls up to Shane to not be stupid. Shane then dives off the board into the water.
