Eden Shaw (played by Costa D'Angelo) is the ex-boyfriend of Holly Hoyland, who arrives in Erinsborough and immediately catches the attention of Mackenzie.
Backstory[]
Eden was backpacking with Holly, his girlfriend and arrived in Erinsborough to meet her family. However, drama with her parents got in the way. They came across Krista Sinclair (who called herself "Kelly") and the three became close. They decided to go travelling together as a trio and needed cash. Holly manages to get some from her brother and they set off. At some point, Eden began an affair with Kelly and Holly was furious when she found it. He reveals he's with Kelly to get access to her family's money and she storms off.
Eden stalked and harassed Melanie and convinced Kelly to do the same in order to get more money out of her, and he even sabotaged her Drinks Diva van to send a message. One night, he stumbled upon Kelly's seemingly dead body after she was unintentionally injured by Melanie and "covered" it up in order to blackmail money from Paul.
2023[]
Eden arrives in Erinsborough and watches Mackenzie from afar as she has just been stood up on a date. He begins to flirt with her and introduces himself as "Ed" and tries to get her home after she stumbles over drunk. He tells her he is new in town and looking for a job and she asks him for his number and will let him know if she knows of any work going. Mackenzie manages to get him a job at Leo's vineyard, where he swiftly begins work.
Mackenzie goes with her friends to meet her mystery man but Holly has to step out just as he arrives. Eden continues to ask Mackenzie out and he tells her he likes her. While at a tasting event at the winery, Holly sees Eden from afar and runs after him. She gets back to the event and shows a photo of her manipulative ex Eden to Mackenzie, asking her if it's the "Ed" she's been seeing. Mackenzie and her friends split up to find him and when they return, realise he has stolen their wallets and Mackenzie's handbag, which has her wedding ring inside.
Holly and Haz track him down to a house he has been squatting in using the GPS on Mackenzie's phone. Holly confronts him but he locks her in the shed. Haz tries to find her and the two get into a physical fight before he flees. Sometime later, while Nell is looking for Melanie in her old house, she finds Eden inside ransacking the place and he knocks her to the ground.
