Alex Carter was a minor character in Neighbours in 1986. He helped Shane Ramsay after he crashed his car but gave him grog to ease him. This made Shane over the limit. Alex was a employee of The Lassiters Complex and started robbing peoples houses. He was played by Kevin Summers.

In July 1986, Shane Ramsay was driving Jean Richards to the airport when the car suffered a blow out and Shane crashed. Jean suffered a major injury to her neck and died instantly. Alex Carter stopped to help and gave Shane some brandy to calm his nerves. Alex then called the ambulance and police and scarpered. Shane was breathalysed and found to be over the limit.
